Spirit

Spirit is very confident in the herd. She is not the herd leader but she is also not on the bottom of the pecking order yet she is calm, level headed and respectful with people, which is important in a horse. We named her Spirit because she is a gift from God just like the Holy Spirit. Spirit was one of the horses that was saved directly from the kill pens located in PA. Spirit was bought at auction by Brian Moore a well known kill buyer to ship over the border to slaughter. These kill pen buyers select random horses each week that were meant for slaughter and offer them for sale at a higher price and then the horse will not go to slaughter.
