Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Purpose Farm!

If you want to work with animals, we have volunteer opportunities on the farm. We are looking for committed and responsible volunteers to help us care for the animals and maintain the farm for 2 hours per week or bi-weekly. Volunteering on the farm at Purpose Farm is extremely rewarding for both the volunteer and the animals. The animals are right beside you as you feed them, clean their pastures, fill water troughs, and perform other tasks to care for the animals and farm. While in the pasture, don't forget to grab a donkey hug or a horse nudge. Please keep in mind that volunteering on farm is needed all year round, including during the winter.

We also need behind the scenes volunteers to run information booths, help at special events, fundraising, writing grants, and more!

Qualifications:

You must be 18 or older to be a volunteer. (13-17 years old per basis with an adult)
You do not need horse experience to volunteer.
We will not set up your first visit until we receive your volunteer application. Click HERE to download volunteer application. Please email us once you have submitted the application.
You must be committed! We are counting on you to show up. We do not have a backup plan or another volunteer to cover your shift.
Be invested in our mission of changing the lives of not only the animals but the YOUTH who depend on coming to the farm. In return your life becomes changed.

Some Examples Of On Farm Volunteer Opportunities:

Dropping hay and feed and cleaning the pastures. Weekdays start at 8:30am and Weekends start at 10am.
Cleaning the goat house or geese coop. Flexible
Cleaning the cat house. Flexible
Mowing the lawns and weed whacking. During late spring, summer and fall only.
Gardening/Weeding

Some Examples Of Off Farm Volunteer Opportunities:

Host a collection drive with your friends, school groups, orgs, church groups etc. to donate to the farm. Refer to our Wish list tab above.

Bottle Drive
Telling your church about us and getting them involved! Youth Groups, Small Groups, Children's Ministries, and even the whole congregation
Grant Writing
Community Ambassador
Accountant
Help with fundraising
