Willow Grace
Miniature Horse Dark Paint Estimated DOB: 1996 Arrival: November 28th, 2015 Willow Grace came to us by a woman we knew. She could no longer care for her and asked if we could take her. We were not taking in anymore rescues but we said we would go and look at her. When we got there Raven and I knew right away that we needed to bring her to our farm. She ended up being infested with lice, and worms. Her teeth were so bad that they had created ulcers on the insides of her cheeks. She also had a bad respiratory infection that hindered her breathing in and out. She was also diagnosed with Cushings disease. On top of that we found out that she has founder issues and after being with us about a month, Willow foundered bad and could not walk. After many meds, treatments and care, Willow was turned out with the rest of our herd as she longed to |
be with other horses after being with cows for three years and having no contact with other horses. She whinnied out to them and ran right up to the herd. She fits in just perfect as if she has always been here.
We were told that Willow was a carousal pony before she went to the lady we knew and she lived with the lady and the cows for three years before coming to Purpose Farm.
Willow is a very independent but she does have a best friend, Elliot. If you see Willow you will usually see Elliot right next to her.
